About us
As an independent railway service provider, we started our operations in 2021. With a management and professional staff with years of experience, we are licensed to operate on the entire railway network of Hungary. We offer a full range of services to our Hungarian and international customers, in both standard and wide gauge.

Our activities
The main activity of EWG Rail Zrt. is the full range of rail freight transport and related services (service, issuing of waybills, wagon inspection, shunting, train monitoring). We are constantly improving our fleet, we have 100% availability of modern equipment, and we are at the service of our partners in both standard and wide gauge. With four refurbished diesel locomotives (two for wide gauge, two for standard gauge) and six modern electric locomotives, we ensure a high quality and timely service to our partners' needs.

Ensuring the operational railway background of the terminal
One of our main activities is to provide the rail operation and professional railway background of the East-West Gate intermodal terminal and industrial park owned and operated by the EWG group. Our fleet is available at our site and in its surroundings 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in both standard and wide gauge.
Domestic and international rail freight
To operate on the national railway network, we have 6 high-capacity electric locomotives and 2 standard gauge and 2 wide-gauge diesel locomotives with flexible operation. We provide towing and related shunting services for our partners. We can also provide wagons for the transport of grain, vegetable oil tankers, containers and crane semi-trailers on request.
Human resources
With our drivers, shunting drivers, inspectors, 24-hour dispatching service and sales team, we offer a full range of services for domestic and international transport.
Competencies
We provide our towing and pushing services with a fleet of vehicles owned by our group, with our own staff. Our employees also have knowledge of the national railway network and the specialized railway network and have passed the necessary exams.
